Camping du Parc de l’île Melville

The campground at Parc de l’Île Melville is located on an island on the Saint-Maurice River, just two minutes from downtown Shawinigan. It is a four-star campground with 147 sites, including 107 with three services: water, electricity and sewer. Campers have three restrooms, a laundry room, a community room and a small grocery at their disposition. Pool with lifeguard on duty, paved main street and a readily accessible forest hiking trail. A playground is also located on site, equipped in accordance to safety rules and regulations. The Saint-Maurice River runs alongside many sites on both sides of Melville Island. Parc de l’Île Melville has a wide array of outdoor activities: TreeGO (d’Arbre en Arbre), rock climbing, hiking trails, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, swimming at the pool, tennis on the courts, biking on the Route verte, BMX and mountain bike trails.
