The Lévis Forts National Historic Site welcomes you to dive into the past with a ton of activities to get young and old out and about! Expecting an American assault on Québec City, British authorities ordered the construction of a chain of three separate forts from 1865 to 1872 on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River as part of Québec fortifications. Magnificently restored by Parks Canada, Fort No. 1 is the last remaining fort from this line of defense. It illustrates entirely remarkable technical innovations for the time. Come on in! This rather unusual fortress at Lévis Forts National Historic Site has many surprises in store for you.
