The Montérégie region is located south of the island of Montréal, halfway between the cities of Québec and Ottawa, on the path of visitors travelling from the United States. The region offers an amazing diversity of tourism activities, in a countryside atmosphere, not far from urban life. Agritourism is a predominant activity in Montérégie. Cider and apple production sites, as well as sugar shacks are choice destinations for gourmands. Depending on the season, you will find apple producers, fruit and vegetable growers, livestock farmers and wine producers. Montérégie invites you to escape with its many theatres, numerous nature havens, including two all-season national parks open for exploration no matter the season, and a large range of attractions, notably the Parc Safari. Cultural activities abound in the region, as it ranks third in Quebec for the number of historical sites, museums and interpretation centres.
