Located in the Centre-du-Québec region, less than 2 hours from major urban centres,
Parc régional des Grandes-Coulées boasts two distinct areas. The “Forêt ancienne” area will appeal to nature lovers with its 12 km of trails, nature lodging (rustic huts and camping) and activities for everyone, such as hiking (and snowshoeing in winter), trout fishing, wildlife interpretation and cycling. Families will particularly love the hebertism course and geocaching activities. And good news: leashed dogs are welcome everywhere, at all times! The “Grande tourbière de Villeroy” area offers 3 km of trails, including 1.2 km of boardwalk right in the heart of a peat bog. This regional park focusing on conservation and interpretation is in the process of becoming an ecological reserve designated by the Quebec government.
