Considered one of the most beautiful forests in Quebec, this park is a place for hiking, outdoor picnics, fishing, fatbiking and even food festivities. And dog owners will be happy to know that Fido is welcome on some of the trails and at the dog park! A festival full of maple flavour! On September 25 and 26, the 7th edition of the maple festival, Mirabel fête l'Érable du Québec, will be held at the park. Make sure to mark that weekend on your calendar, since many activities will be on the program, including a wonderful country picnic. This year, the event has been rethought and a delicious menu will be prepared by Chef Charles-Antoine Crête of the Montréal Plaza restaurant. The festival will also feature entertainment, food trucks and lots of booths. Fun for all! Fatbiking: a great family activity The park offers fatbikes – bikes with oversized tires – for rent at the visitor's centre, available in three sizes to suit both children and parents. Rates are very affordable: $18 for adults and $10 for children (minimum height of 1.47m or 4'10'') for a one-hour rental. For an additional $8, get a two-hour rental. Follow the multi-sport trail and the marked trails in the park for a beautiful ride as you enjoy the benefits of nature and fresh air. Feel like fishing? At the park you can fish for rainbow trout in one of the recently redesigned ponds with newly installed docks that allow a greater number of visitors to enjoy fishing there. A package deal allows free access to the site and a permit to catch up to three fish. It includes a carry bag, ice and corn for bait. Don't have your own equipment? No problem!
