From July 4 to 14 2024, don’t miss MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE as it marks its 15th anniversary with the theme CIRCUS DOESN’T KNOW IMPOSSIBLE. An event that always draws a crowd, this eagerly-anticipated festival offers high voltage programming every year. This summer, Montreal welcomes artists and acrobats from the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States and Quebec. Festival-goers of all ages will be able to attend a multitude of breathtaking performances! Here’s an overview of what’s in store!

Duck Pond… or Swan Lake reimagined

The celebrated ballet, Swan Lake takes on new layers with Duck Pond, a recreated, completely public circus show performed by the Australian company Circa. This modern adaptation brings a touch of incisive humour, a contemporary energy and a unique physical element. From July 9 to 13, let yourself be transported by this story of swans, ducks and princes, where comedy finds its place alongside emotion. More than just a show, Duck Pond aims to be a journey of self-searching, interspersed with stunning acrobatics, sly humour and beautiful feathers to boot!


Sophie’s Surprise 29th: An electric atmosphere

It’s Sophie’s birthday and you’re invited to a surprise party to celebrate her 29th! This happy celebration, presented from July 3 to 14, invites you to join a festive atmosphere where circus, comedy, and a big dose of chaos combine to create an unforgettable evening. Get ready to party in an immersive circus cabaret highlighting artists from Cirque du Soleil and Britain's Got Talent! Suitable for ages 14 and over, this show is sure to rock the big top with lively music and spectacular acrobatic performances. Make sure you don’t tell Sophie… It's a surprise!


BARBU: a colourful, audacious, extravagant show

Let yourself be carried away by BARBU, a jaw-dropping show that presents unbelievable performances and daring exploits from July 3 to 14. In a series of scenes where music, video, circus and happy madness intermingle, each artist will impress you with their remarkable talent. Accompanied by a lively electro-trad band, Cirque Alfonse tests its limits with this circus party that flirts dangerously with extremes. A gargantuan show unlike anything else, Barbu is sure to be a hit with those 13 and over!
