Founded in Montréal in 1987, Coup de cœur francophone is a festival dedicated to discovering and spreading music in all its forms. Presented annually in November in Montréal, as well as in over 45 Canadian cities, it brings together national and international musicians and offers a program primarily orientated towards emergence, audacity and creation. Every year, the event presents some two hundred shows from the Atlantic to the Pacific oceans. It provides access for different communities to a diverse program and serves as a showcase for francophone creation. It also facilitates the spread of musicians, many of whom come from minority francophone communities.
