Outdoor yoga in Quebec: festivals and classes to refocus in nature

Breathe deeply in the fresh air, anchor yourself in nature, stretch out in front of the sunrise or on a mountaintop... Practising yoga in the great outdoors means taking a beneficial break in an inspiring natural setting. Quebec offers a multitude of opportunities to connect body and mind in harmony with the elements, including themed festivals, classes in parks and sessions on the water, in an orchard or even a honey farm. Welcome to slow tourism and wellness getaways!

 

Yoga events to discover

Whether you’re looking for something that’s 100% yoga or just curious to see which festivals include yoga on the agenda, these four events are sure to appeal to enthusiasts of all levels!

Anatha Fest, Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré (Québec City Region)

Anatha Fest, which offers three days of wellness, art and music from August 8 to 10, 2025, includes several yoga classes as part of its program. Participants can even go for the full retreat by opting for on-site nature camping for an even more immersive effect and to bathe longer in the atmosphere of positivity that this festival is all about.

What’s more, tickets are free for children ages 15 and under, making it easier for families to take part in the experience.

FLOW Yoga & Sound Festival, Val-Morin (Laurentians)

FLOW Yoga & Sound returns to the Laurentians from August 29 to 31, 2025. Look forward to yoga experiences and workshops, DJs and music, kiosks and artisans, all in an inspiring and rejuvenating atmosphere.

Yoga in nature, master classes, SUP yoga, aerial yoga, walking and yoga, acroyoga... participants will be treated to over 30 experiences in various locations around Val-Morin and the surrounding area, including a session at the summit of the Sentier des cimes Laurentides, in Mont-Blanc.

NORR Festival, Saint-Raymond (Québec City Region)

The NORR Festival, from September 19 to 21, 2025, is a popular outdoor event held annually in the Bras-du-Nord Valley, in Saint-Raymond. It boasts the largest gathering of outdoor communities in Quebec.

This year’s program of workshops includes introductory courses in acroyoga, SUP yoga and slackline yoga!

Sommet Yoga & bien-êtreEastman (Eastern Townships)

From October 16 to 19, 2025, Spa Eastman offers a four-day immersion at the Sommet Yoga & bien-être (information available in French only). Now in its third year, this event will feature about 20 guest experts who will lead workshops and conferences designed to awaken body, heart and consciousness.

Other yoga activities are also offered at Spa Eastman as part of various retreats and packages, including bilingual outdoor classes, hatha yoga and private classes and consultations.

Outdoor yoga classes to add to your calendar

Whether you want to continue to focus on your well-being while on vacation or discover a new activity close to home, here are a few suggestions of where to go for some yoga while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Quebec’s cities and regions!

Pop Spirit, Montréal and surrounding areas

On land, on water and even on the road, Montréal-based Pop Spirit is very active! Numerous outdoor classes, many of them free, are offered in parks in and around Montréal (on the Mont-Royal lookout or in a park in the Plateau neighbourhood, for example). Yogis are also invited to roll out their mats in winter to try out something new, “snowga”!

Hiking x Yoga, Saint-Sauveur (Laurentians)

Hiking x Yoga sessions at Sommet Saint-Sauveur are the perfect opportunity to combine a love of mountain hiking with a passion for yoga in a unique outdoor experience! A range of times are available throughout the summer to suit all availabilities: early morning, mid-morning or late afternoon. Not only are these sessions a chance to reconnect with your inner self and with nature, they are also a way of contributing to a good cause, since a portion of purchases is donated to the Cancer Research Society as part of the Challenge rose program.

Yoga Metta, Rimouski (Bas-Saint-Laurent)

Yoga Metta offers lunchtime yoga sessions at the Le Château Blanc honey farm, on Thursdays until August 28, 2025. Sessions are offered in an enchanting setting that invites you to recharge your batteries, and the choice of static postures or more dynamic sequences takes into account the weather outside to ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for participants. Before or after your session, why not take the opportunity to visit the boutique of this family-run beekeeping business?

Cindy Hook, Havre-aux-Maisons (Îles-de-la-Madeleine)

On Tuesday mornings from 9 to 10 a.m., from July 8 to August 12, 2025, the Cindy Hook studio offers outdoor Yin yoga sessions. Designed to soothe the nervous system and release tension, these sessions will guide you through long-held postures, cultivating a real connection to breath and bodily sensations. Let yourself be lulled by the breath of the wind and the salty air of the Islands!

Yogi Nomade, Québec City

The qualified instructors at Yogi Nomade offer several options for outdoor yoga, from one-time sessions to courses offered over longer periods. Sessions are offered every Monday until August 25, 2025, from 7 to 8 p.m., at Base Plein Air Sainte-Foy. For something unique if you’re in the area, why not join a full-moon yoga session on August 9? A unique opportunity to cultivate your physical and mental well-being while savouring the beauty of the summer season.

Yoga&CO, Montérégie

This business invites you to gaze at some of the Montérégie’s magnificent attractions while doing yoga! This summer, Yoga&CO is offering SUP Yoga Flow classes on Lac des Bouleaux in the Parc national du Mont-Saint-Bruno, a yoga-and-camping retreat on August 9 and 10 in the Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville, and a one-day immersive retreat on September 1, also in the Mont-Saint-Bruno park.
