Food tourism and pick-your-own produce

Quebec’s famous strawberry season is coming to an end, but there are still lots of fruits and vegetables in the orchards and gardens of the Eastern Townships. In late August, September and even until October, you can still find raspberries, blueberries, pears, and of course, apples! See the calendar from Créateurs de saveurs to know when each fruit is in season and plan your fruit-picking outing before it’s too late!

Finish off with a country picnic

Choose a park, a lake, a field or an orchard. Then, gather your gourmet finds of the day and prepare a delicious picnic! By combining what you’ve found at the cheese shops, bakeries, vineyards, grocery stores and other food shops in the Eastern Townships, you’ll have everything you need to create a remarkable feast.
