International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Every year, for nine days of magic and colour, the sky in Le Haut-Richelieu is taken over by nearly 125 hot air balloons during the International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. The Festival was recognized as a gold prize winner during the Quebec Tourism Awards gala (Grands Prix du tourisme québécois) in 2010. This Montérégie event is a reference as far as balloons go, with more than 1,500,000 square feet of theme activities. It is also a must-see summer event for fans of large concerts.
