Located in the Eastern Townships, the Yvonne L. Bombardier Exhibition Centre offers a diverse program of cultural and educational activities that will transport you to the fascinating universe of visual artists.

Récits du vivant exhibition

Until August 27, the Récits du vivant exhibition invites you into the stunning universe of artists Brigitte Dahan, Onira Lussier and Marie-Eve Martel. Each takes a unique look at the way life tells its stories. The exhibit features sculptures, sketches and installations. Each work draws the viewer in with its form and gives visitors the chance to reflect on humanity’s place in nature as well as the many ways life can live in a space. For example, see how the mycological and architectural worlds interact, drawings that highlight the performativity of these boundaries, or even an amplified representation of microorganisms. You can also create a mushroom to contribute to the collective work of Marie-Eve Martel, that continues to evolve over the course of the exhibition.

Seek and find activity

Perfect for a family outing, the Seek and find activity is a fun and original way to discover the Exhibition Centre, during which visitors young and old are invited to go on a quest for clues hidden in the works on display. Detectives in training won’t only exercise their imaginations, they will also get an introduction to visual art all while this activity stimulates their creativity and awakens their curiosity. Kids will have a blast taking on these challenges and parents will get the opportunity to see the exhibit from a new perspective! Will you discover all the hidden clues?

Art walk

Looping around the Yvonne L. Bombardier Exhibition Centre, the splendid park affords visitors a peaceful setting to see the many works on display there. You will find two works by Jean Côté made out of aluminum, inspired by themes related to time, encounters and acts of passage. Next, you will come across the Arborescence, a four-metre-tall stone and metal sculpture created by Jean Brillant. Finally, you will discover L’homme porte le poids de sa vie, a magnificent bronze bust sculpted by Camille Racicot. During your stroll through the park, don’t forget to admire the diverse trees: Silver Maples, Scots Pines, Pennsylvania Ash and Crabapple trees dot the landscape.
