Granby Zoo is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, and the excitement is greater than ever! More than 30 million visitors have made the Zoo an essential part of Quebec's tourist landscape. No fewer than 1,300 animals from around the globe are presented in a natural, immersive environment, and the water park and rides are the perfect complement to an unforgettable family day out. This summer, you too can enjoy a special moment at this zoo, whose values are to prioritize animal welfare and protect biodiversity.

A retro photo exhibit to celebrate 70 years

The Granby Zoo sent out a request to past visitors asking them to send in photos of their fondest memories at the zoo. From the old Bourget Street entrance to Tivoli Park, the organizers wanted photos dating from 1953 to the present day. At this exhibit, you'll be invited to take a trip back in time and make some wonderful memories of your own!

A unique chance to see Japanese cranes and serows... and dholes!

This year, elegant Japanese cranes and serows (which look a bit like a cross between a werewolf and a goat!) are enjoying a brand new mixed habitat. The Granby Zoo is also putting the finishing touches on the new habitat for dholes (a type of wild dog from Asia), which will mean the return of a canine species at the Zoo! Although their arrival date has yet to be confirmed, the staff at the Zoo is excited to introduce visitors to this endangered species and to participate in dhole conservation efforts, both at the Zoo and in the wild.
