A fascinating trip into Ancient Egypt

Time of Pharaohs, presented from October 27, 2022 to March 12, 2023, invites you to discover or rediscover this civilization that continues to captivate the imagination of the entire world with its pyramids, its grand temples and resplendent culture. Do you wonder how people lived in Ancient Egypt? The answers to your questions will emerge as you travel through this great international exhibition that plunges you into the heart of a rich and fascinating culture!

In a spectacular setting, admire more than 350 precious objects and artifacts highlighting the private life of the Egyptians, the landscape and climate of the time and the importance of writing and eternal life in Egyptian culture. Real mummies, steles and coffins of important people, models of houses and pyramids, jewels, statues, objects of daily life and papyri form a fabulous corpus of this great and mysterious civilization. In addition, interactive multimedia spaces and videos depict what life was like in Ancient Egypt.

An exhibition that pays tribute to René Lévesque

As part of the celebrations surrounding the 100th anniversary of the birth of this larger-than-life politician, the Musée de la civilisation, in collaboration with the Fondation René-Lévesque, presents René et Lévesque. Through the presentation of archival documents and significant objects, some of which belonged to the politician, the exhibition will shed light on the key stages in the life of René Lévesque up until his death in 1987. Discover little-known facets of his personality and character traits that shaped him as a human being, a son, a father, a man of the people and a great public politician. How did René become Lévesque? Find the answers in this powerful and sensitive exhibition running from November 17, 2022 to September 4, 2023.
