From February 22 to 25, 2024, celebrate reading “aloud” at the Salon du livre de l’Outaouais (Outaouais book fair, website available in French only), which promises exciting conversations, lively debates and memorable encounters. Held at the Palais des congrès de Gatineau, the 45th edition of this event will explore a theme that evokes the rustle of turning pages and the tradition of orality, as well as the diversity and plurality of voices found in literature. Open your eyes (and especially your ears!) to discoveries that are definitely worth a listen!

Audio content in the spotlight

Literary podcasts, audio works, audiobooks: this year, literature needs to be enjoyed out loud! A wide variety of audio content will be broadcast continuously during the book fair, thanks to collaborations with renowned partners such as Transistor, Radio-Canada, Télé-Québec and the Regroupement des éditeurs franco-canadiens (Franco-Canadian publishers group). Carefully crafted, the audio program aims to bring words to life and make them resonate while sparking your curiosity and imagination. Don’t miss this immersive literary experience, available on Radio-Hull.
