Known for its country roads, gourmet flair and cranberry harvest, the Centre-du-Québec region goes all out to offer you wonderful experiences. Discover the homegrown flavours of local food producers, admire amazing views from the top of a mountain and learn about captivating regional history! Here are three ways to make the most of fall in Centre-du-Québec.

Explore Victoriaville and its surrounding area

Victoriaville is a place that exudes bliss and that offers activities in the fall that highlight local flavours and postcard-perfect landscapes. In and around Victo, you can visit spectacular cranberry bogs, take a foodie road trip or, starting in early October, witness the migration of snow geese. To make sure you get the best view of fall foliage, head to Mont Gleason! There you’ll find hiking trails lined with blazing colours and you can enjoy special activities offered on weekends between September 23 and October 9.

Taste local flavours

The Balade Gourmande is an event that attracts foodies with the promise of beautiful colours and mouth-watering products! Taking place on September 30 and October 1, 7 and 8, this event’s main draw are the six signposted tours that lead you to the region’s farms and food producers as well as to markets where you can load up on local delights. Don’t forget to bring reusable bags and coolers! As part of this event, participating restaurants and lodging establishments will be offering special deals.

Fill up on history on the road

Make your trip to the region more fun and learn something new when you follow the interactive game on the Route des Navigateurs (this link is available in French only, but the game is available in English). Thirteen panels have been set up along this riverside scenic route between Saint-François-du-Lac and Deschaillons-sur-Saint-Laurent. When you scan the QR codes on these panels, you’ll be prompted to go on different adventures! Snap a picture in front of the landscape, answer trivia questions and take a closer look at heritage sites while you learn more about local history. Don’t miss this fun activity and be sure to share your journey on social media with #Routedesnavigateurs!
