Visit Îles-de-la-Madeleine generating station, the largest diesel-powered thermal generating station in Québec. The Îles-de-la-Madeleine have always relied on fuel oil to meet their energy needs, and this power plant supplies electricity to a population of 13,000. During your guided tour, you’ll learn how oil is harnessed to generate enough power to light homes and businesses. Take a tour and learn all about electricity on the islands! Important: Visitors must comply with certain obligations. Be sure to read the Schedule and practical information section of the Web site.
