Free Grand Concert at the Esplanade of the Olympic Park
Free Grand Concert at the Esplanade of the Olympic Park
Every summer since 2012, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal has transformed the Olympic Park Esplanade into a true open air stage with a major free concert that brings together the entire metropolitan community. Initiated by Kent Nagano, this initiative fully reflects the institution’s mission: to democratize classical music and promote access to it for the whole metropolitan population. Today, this event has become a staple of the cultural calendar, drawing tens of thousands of spectators year after year. It offers the public an opportunity to appreciate the richness of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, conducted by its music director Rafael Payare, and to discover soloists of international renown. A truly unique way to experience classical music—together, under a starry sky, in a spirit of shared joy.
