Since 2001, the Festival La Virée Trad in Carleton-sur-Mer highlights and disseminates cultural practices from the Quebec tradition with professional performances of storytelling, music, songs and traditional dances, and presents the largest public market in the Gaspé with over fifty artisans and local producers, exhibitions, chats on historical subjects, an introduction to the circus arts, entertainment for children, musical happy hours and dining, workshops facilitating contact between artists and the public etc. From 7 to 9 October 2021, the festival La Virée Trad will celebrate its 21th edition with Le Vent du Nord, Dominique Dupuis, Grosse Isle, Les Grands Hurleurs, Le Tranino, Cédric Dind-Lavoie, Pierre Chartrand, Yaëlle Azoulay, Fernand Alain, Mélissandre Tremblay Bourassa, Olivier Arseneault, Alexis Chartrand and Nicolas Babineau!
