Discover the two historic sites that make up La Cité de l’Or, located in Val-d’Or in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue. The Old Lamaque gold mine is an interpretation centre. Become a miner for a day and enjoy a unique experience in a real mine as you go 91 metres (300 feet) underground. In addition of the underground experience, you can visit the analysis laboratory, where you will be introduced to ore processing. Come discover this mine’s history with the exhibition “Gold In our veins.” Feel the unique sensation experienced during drilling.
