The
Battle of the Châteauguay National Historic Site is commemorating the 200-year anniversary of the battle of October 26, 1813. This major battle of the War of 1812-1814 between the United States and England, took place here, on the banks of the Châteauguay River, in Allan’s Corners.
You can enjoy the outdoor picnic area on the banks of the Châteauguay River, or take a look at the Commemorative Obelisk just a few steps from the parking lot. In addition, take a bicycle or car ride along the marked out circuit of the Châteauguay River battlefield. ***THE INTERPRETATION BUILDING IS CURRENTLY CLOSED***
