Maison Saint-Gabriel is the oldest example of rural architecture in Montreal. Acquired by Marguerite Bourgeoys in 1668, this house was the home of the Filles du Roy (King's Wards). Witness the talent of costumed guides and the authenticity of its historic site. Explore the site at your own pace thanks to a new digital experience offering three routes you can follow using your smartphone. Choose your tour according to your interests and how much time you wish to spend on your visit. The video content presents over 300 years of history. During the tour of the house, meet Joachim Crête: this merchant seaman landed in New France in search of a wife. He will share anecdotes, playful challenges and a slice of history with you!
