The museum is located in Madame de La Peltrie’s house, a building erected in 1836 and enlarged in 1868. The house is an integral part of the Ursuline Monastery, the finest example of convent architecture in Quebec City, in the province of Quebec and probably even in North America. The museum, with galleries on three floors, offers high-quality permanent and temporary exhibitions that showcase the Ursulines’ cultural legacy.
