Located in the magnificent bay of Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive, in Charlevoix, the
Musée maritime de Charlevoix tells the story of wooden schooners and coastal shipping on the St. Lawrence river in a 360° experience, from the forest to the river. Between nature and culture, it offers a 10-minute multimedia experience as real as the life of sailors in the 1950s, a visit to the 77-year-old shipyard and its 4 boats, exhibitions, a park with a hebertism track, a plant maze, walking trails, a gift shop, a covered terrace, multiple picnic areas and contemplation of the river. 2023 will mark the 100th anniversary of the sailing schooner Marie Clarisse and has many surprises in store for visitors!
