With its bayou landscape, wildlife sanctuary, flowery marshes, swamp forests, and the lush vegetation of its islands, Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles
is an incomparable natural area situated in the heart of the city. Explore this labyrinth of greenery and water aboard a canoe, a kayak, SUP (stand up paddle) or a rabaska, or while fishing! Take the opportunity to have a picnic at one of the park’s several islands. A unique attraction, this protected wildlife area is the largest of the metropolitan region. The site is also very popular in winter for cross-country skiing, skating and ice fishing. The new Park Exploration Center, which will open in winter 2019, will include a museum with seven thematic zones.
