Parc national de la Gaspésie
Parc national de la Gaspésie is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2017-2018. The park, now recognized as a mecca for hiking in Québec, was created in April 1937 in order to permanently protect the Gaspésie Caribou and the beauty of Mont Albert and the McGerrigle Mountains, as well as the salmon of Rivière Sainte-Anne. The altitude of these mountains deeply influences the climate that create the landscape and creates a diversity of species unique to Québec, and even the world. A hiking hotspot gives visitors access to an extraordinary mountain environment. Photo credit: Parc national de la Gaspésie, Sépaq
