Parc national de Plaisance… The name evokes the landscape’s beauty, from the earth to the water, ever-present in the bays, the islands, the peninsulas and the multicoloured carpet of floating sea grass. In the spring, Plaisance offers a startling show, put on by a 100,000 Canada geese that land there. In the summer, Plaisance is a paradise for ducks, herons, hawks and many other species. Not far from the park’s campsites, the sweet whisper of the Ottawa River brushes the small peninsula’s grasses.
