The only outdoor zoo on the island of Montreal, the Ecomuseum Zoo is dedicated to the well-being of Quebec's wildlife. Its mission is to take in animals that are injured, orphaned or unable to survive in the wild. Mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish are waiting to tell you their unique stories. Here are three ways to enjoy your day at this zoo!

Take a guided tour

To plunge into the heart of Quebec's wildlife and learn all about what wild animals have to teach us, there's nothing like a guided tour with a dynamic, experienced and passionate guide. This 45-minute tour will transport you to the zoo's enchanting natural setting, where you'll discover the fascinating and little-known world of the red fox, the snowy owl and the river otter, sure to amaze many. Guided tours are offered on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer, except for the first Sunday of each month. Don't forget to book your spot by using the online reservation platform!

Have breakfast with the animals

What do wild animals eat for breakfast? A bowl of cereal, croissants... or maybe insects? You'll have the chance to find out over breakfast with the animals! In addition to learning more about their habits, you'll be able to get in on the action by preparing the animals' food and serving it to them in their living quarters. The two-hour activity also includes a continental breakfast… for the humans! Bears, wolves, otters, foxes, lynx: who would you like to have breakfast with?

Enjoy a free educational activity

During the summer, the zoo offers a variety of free educational activities to raise awareness about environmental conservation among its youngest visitors. The main theme this summer is urban wildlife. Do you know what to do if you see a raccoon in your backyard or a snake in a swimming pool? Every day, except the first Sunday of the month, educational presentations will answer all your questions! Curious visitors can also ask their questions to the naturalist guides they’ll run into along the paths and in the site's educational cabins.
