Ski Saint-Bruno’s Fall Colours festival

Imagine yourself in a cozy room with panoramic views of landscapes that look like paintings. Or curl up next to a crackling fire while the wind gently blows outside. A fall getaway is an opportunity not only to treat yourself to a stay at a hotel nestled in a breathtaking location, but also to enjoy activities and visit must-see attractions. In Quebec there are all kinds of ways to indulge in what you love and plan a getaway that’s just right for you! Here are our suggestions.

Do you want to enjoy fall colours?

To admire amazing views of colourful trees on the mountain, head over to Ski Saint-Bruno for the Colours Festival, taking place every weekend from September 23 to November 5. Discover the mountain from a whole new angle on a hike, take the ski lift to the top, visit the animals in the Enchanted Forest and enjoy special activities!

At this time of year, Mont SUTTON turns into a paradise of awesome hues, and hosts a very special event to celebrate the season: the Fall Festival, happening every weekend until October 15. In addition to chairlift rides, outdoor shows, hiking and mountain biking, you can soar above the colourful treetops on the giant zipline, the most inclined in Canada, or the “zipline coaster”, which is a one-of-a-kind zipline in North America with turns. An exciting way to admire the natural wonder of fall!

In the Laurentians, the Grand Lodge Mont Tremblant is the perfect place to take a breath of fresh air. An exceptional resort experience awaits you on site, combining warm hospitality, Quebec gastronomy and plenty of activities to make the most of fall. Get a closer look at the colourful landscape by going out with a mountain bike you can rent from the hotel’s Experience SK boutique. You’ll get to explore the network of trails on the slopes.

Do you love animals?

Parc Safari will be open on weekends until October 9 and invites you on an extraordinary safari that will delight wildlife lovers. Climb aboard a bush truck and travel along the 4-km trail to observe and feed camels, wildebeest, bison, elephants, greater kudu and many other species. If you prefer to explore at your own pace, fill up on family memories by visiting the Felines’ Tunnel, the Afrika Terrace, the Olduvaï Walkway or the Cheetahs’ Plain!

Sometimes, you don’t have to leave the city to see some wildlife! Learn about Quebec’s fauna at the only outdoor zoo on the island of Montreal: the Ecomuseum Zoo in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, an establishment dedicated to animal welfare. The friendly residents await you as you stroll along the paths that wind through the living areas. And this Halloween, the whole family will enjoy exploring the decorated site and taking part in special entertainment. You can even wear your costume! Stay tuned: more information on Halloween activities will be announced shortly!

If you’re heading for the Outaouais region, stop by Parc Omega where a new route takes you through a habitat dedicated to Arctic wolves. To enhance the experience, enjoy an unforgettable face-to-face encounter with these emblematic creatures during a cocktail reception at the wolf observatory in the company of a naturalist guide. And if you want to stay longer, how about spending the night in a suite with panoramic windows, offering a privileged view of a natural cohabitation of young wolves and bears – a first in North America!
