Beer and good food in Rimouski and Rivière-du-Loup

Bière Fest is not only an event showcasing the best local microbreweries, but also an opportunity to make great culinary discoveries in a festive atmosphere. This celebration of local brewing talent is back this year and will take place at Parc Beauséjour in Rimouski from September 8 to 10. It will then move to Parc Blais in Rivière-du-Loup to continue from September 15 to 17. Musical performances will also be paired with the tastings: don't miss duo SEB & JESS who will interpret the great blues and rock 'n' roll classics on September 8 and 16!

The bounty of the forest in Kamouraska

Local products and rich flavours will be featured at the Festival des champignons forestiers du Kamouraska. This celebration of wild mushrooms will be held at Camp musical Saint-Alexandre from September 16 to 18. Foodies and amateur foragers alike are invited to take part in a variety of activities to discover this local delicacy. The program includes a five-course mycological feast, a foray into forest fungi foraging, a tasting with a local umami specialist, a mushroom market with fifteen or so booths, and much more. It's a festival not to be missed for surprising culinary discoveries.
