Happening from October 6 to 8, the 22nd edition of La Virée Trad Festival in Carleton-sur-Mer will be showcasing traditional music and dance, storytelling, local produce and arts and crafts. Dance evenings, workshops, exhibits, talks and intros to circus arts, not to mention the largest public market in Gaspésie… these are just some of the thirty-or-so activities taking place at this festival that brings together top artists.

An exciting program!

The La Virée Trad Festival is a chance to discover talents, including Galant, tu perds ton temps, Six Hearts (Vishtèn and The East Pointers), Germaine, Kavaz, La Déferlance, Oktoécho, De Temps Antan, Bigico and Club Gigus, either playing at indoor venues or on outdoor stages. But that's not all! Take the opportunity to discover the products of some fifty producers and artisans, take part in workshops on podorhythmia (also known as foot tapping), jigging, fiddling and singing, have fun on the various courses of the Satourne circus school and much more! A can’t-miss evening of traditional dance

Square dancing, contredanse, quadrille… learn about these folk dancing styles and let yourself be carried away by the rhythm of the traditional Québécois repertoire under the guidance of your dynamic host Donald Dubuc. A must at the festival, this traditional dance party is one of the most popular in Quebec as well as a symbol of Quebec identity and a part of Quebec's intangible heritage that embodies the province’s values, traditions and culture. Join 400 dancers on the floor of the Centre des congrès de la Gaspésie for this incredible evening!
