From August 24 to September 5, 2021, Montréal celebrates the start of the cultural season with electronic music and digital creativity. The 22nd MUTEK Festival offers an exceptional showcase for local talents passionate about this form of art. Whether you're already a fan or just curious to hear more, discover a program generous with things to do that takes place indoors, outdoors and even in virtual mode. Thanks to this hybrid format, there's no reason to miss it!

Discover local electronic music

The 22nd MUTEK Festival showcases local and national talent dedicated to electronic music. This year, more than 60 shows featuring close to 100 artists will take place at the Cinquième Salle of Place des Arts, at MTELUS and at the Société des arts technologiques (SAT, Society for Arts and Technology). The creativity of artists from Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Saskatchewan is sure to thrill festival-goers. Free outdoor happenings will also be held on the Parterre of the Quartier des spectacles. This showcase is perfect to get in tune with new sounds. It's worth the trip!

Digital arts at six Montréal venues

From August 20 to September 5, 2021, six Montréal locations will be transformed into digital art galleries. Discover more than twenty free sound and visual installations as well as interactive and virtual reality works. The six venues are the Espace culturel Georges-Émile-Lapalme at Place des Arts, the Parterre at Quartier des spectacles, the Goethe Institut, the Le Livart art centre, Lahaie Park and the Société des arts technologiques (SAT).

Bring the fun back home

MUTEK offers a free and comprehensive virtual section. There will be audiovisual performances by international artists, a digital art gallery, conferences and master classes, an audio archive of previous editions and many other surprises. All you have to do is plug in to make great discoveries!
