Calling everyone who loves nature: take the Billy-Diamond Road and see where all that energy comes from: the Robert-Bourassa development. Climb aboard a bus to discover the sheer immensity of Hydro-Québec’s structures, look up at a towering dam as tall as a 53-storey building, and marvel at the “giant’s staircase.” While exploring the world's largest underground generating station, carved 137 metres deep into the bedrock, you might even get a chance to see the refurbishing of the generating unit number 9. It was the first to be commissioned on october 1979. New activity to be done: Visiting the Hommage aux Bâtisseurs site at the old La Grande-2 campsite.
