Calling everyone who loves nature: See where almost half the energy comes from: the Robert-Bourassa generating facility. Climb aboard a bus to discover the sheer immensity of Hydro-Québec’s structures, look up at a dam as tall as a 53-storey building, and marvel at the “giant’s staircase.”Explore the world's largest underground generating station, carved 137 metres deep into the bedrock. From july 27 to august 3rd, the Locality of Radisson celebrates its 50th anniversary, activities are held everyday, we invite you to be part of it! New activities: visit the Hommage aux Bâtisseurs park at the old La Grande-2 campsite ; Tubine commissioned by premier M. René Lévesque on october 27th 1979 (in the village of Radisson, in front of the church) ; Enjoy two virtual Tours in french: “In the footsteps of pioneers: construction of the Robert-Bourassa development” and “Radisson, past and present”.
