Marine Environment Discovery Centre
A visit to the Marine Environment Discovery Centre is an immersion in the seabed. Located 30 minutes from Tadoussac on the Côte-Nord region, in Les Escoumins, the Centre borders the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park; home to numerous marine birds and mammals. Magnificent observation points on the St. Lawrence estuary allowing for easy sightings of the whales during the summer months. By visiting the exhibition, you will find yourself immersed into the lively and colourful seabed of the St. Lawrence. Interpretive guides offer daily interpretation activities for the whole family: discover curious animals that live at the bottom of the water and learn more about the sharks in the St. Lawrence. Les Escoumins diving base is also on site: Nordic snorkeling and scuba diving are also offered. Divers, explore one of the most beautiful underwater landscapes in North America.
