As a marine protected are since 1998, the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park is one of the best places in the world for whale watching. It protects three marine ecosystems teeming with life: the Saguenay Fjord with its breathtaking cliffs, the upper estuary with its islands and lighthouses, as well as the lower estuary with its deep waters. Discover the Marine Park in your own way, whether it’s by taking part in a wide array of interpretation and outdoor activities or by exploring its natural and cultural treasures.

Its mission is to protect marine life and promote educational, recreational and scientific research activities for the benefit of present and future generations.
