The enchanting landscapes of Quebec are ideal for a number of outdoor activities. For unforgettable moments with family or friends and amazing ways to make the most of nature, check out the variety of outdoor centres. Here are some suggestions that are perfect for a breath of fresh air in a magnificently coloured environment!

Majestic canyons

A good dose of fresh air and striking scenery are in store at Contact Nature in the Saguenay region. Hiking and mountain biking on the marked trails along the magnificent Rivière-à-Mars canyon offer up incredible sights. Are you interested in the local wildlife? Then look into the black-bear-watching activity that lets you approach this superb animal’s natural habitat in the company of a seasoned guide.

For total immersion into nature in the Québec City region, a stop at Canyon Sainte-Anne is a must. This site is known for its spectacular 74-metre-tall waterfall and its 1.2-billion-year-old canyon! You’ll get to cross three suspended bridges and explore safe, accessible paths suitable for the whole family (even Fido can join on a leash!) If you’re seeking more of an adventure, reserve your spot on the weekend for one of the three trails of via ferrata!

Outdoor fun for all!

Located in Sainte-Béatrix, Havre Familial invites you to enjoy nature to the fullest. Even at this time of year, water sports like canoeing, kayaking, paddleboating and paddleboarding are available. There are also hiking trails and obstacle courses to tackle, as well as a mini-putt course and a playground for your little ones. And if you want to stay on site longer, consider accommodations in a cottage or one of the small inns.

For an original getaway, take your little soldiers on a mission to Domaine du Radar in the Chaudière-Appalaches region. This recreational centre is located on a former military base that belonged to the Royal Canadian Air Force. It features military relics and offers all kinds of accommodations, including the popular coolbox units! When it comes to activities, a 5-km-long hebertism course, the mountain biking park and pedestrian trails open up loads of possibilities. And don’t forget to check out the scenic view from the bunker! Will you accept this mission?
